A note to parents regarding senior portraits.
How exciting. Whether this is your first to graduate or not, it’s an exciting year. (I know, I’ve done it three times). So many wonderful experiences coming up in the next year. Football games, Homecoming, Prom, and of course, Senior Portraits.
This is one of the very few occasions in a persons life that calls for an important portrait. Most people are only photographed when they’re babies, graduate high school, married, and when it’s time for a family portrait. This is your last opportunity for a truly professional portrait of your son or daughter, by themselves.
For this reason, we encourage you to consider using a truly professional photographer for senior portraits. Many people are under the impression (and have been fooled in to thinking) that cameras create portraits. If that were true, could we say that nice scissors create great hair styles, word processors write great novels, and nice power tools build great homes. No way.
Unfortunately, we could fill a book with all the disappointing comments we’ve heard by those who trusted a non-professional. So why not do it right?
But what about the economy? Well, consider this. Good and bad economic times come and go. Your son or daughter will never be a senior again…Ever! This is the last chance you’ll have to get this portrait. Shouldn’t you have one you love, to enjoy in all the years to come?
